You should check out some of the classic 70s funk bands who influenced a lot of your favorite albums, such as Funkadelic and Parliament.

First off, in the future if you're looking for recs of something feel free to drop by the "Recommendations Thread" and do your thing. It saves you the hassle of starting a new subject and also it keeps the music forum less "cluttered".

As for funk recs, I'm far from an expert but I recently went through a phase where it was all I was listening to and these were my absolute favorites and the ones I most recommend:

Funnily enough, Funkadelic's eponymous debut is in my Wish-List and I'll hopefully purchase it next time I feel I need a treat 😉

Will be sure to try out as many recs as possible, some of them have really cool artwork I must say 😄

I may as well post up the only album I know to be somewhat funk (well I've heard it described as such, although it doesn't sound too funky to me... but I digress!)
