Just heard the sad news about Tommy Ramone - RIP. If there's a CBGB's in the next world there's gonna be one heck of a reunion show tonight...
Has also got me wondering - I can't think of another band of any great significance since the 1960s where all the original members have passed on. Anyone else think of any?
In the meantime, RIP NYC's own Fab Four. Take it Dee Dee... 1-2-3-4
Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Not a group per se but they have recorded as a duo. _________________ "And canโt you see youโre in on it?
You were born though you need not
And is that not some cause
For worship, being born among these trees?"
Sad news. What a shame that they've all gone so young. Joey was only 49, Johnny was 55 and Dee Dee only 50. Too young to die. Without doubt the best band in heaven. RIP Tommy! ๐
RIP Tommy Ramone. A sad day for music, he was the last living founding member of Ramones. And he was probably the most famous rock musician who was born in my city, and I'm proud of this.
