Has some decent songs on it, but it's a bit too stale and boring at times. _________________

One of these albums I'm really sorry it was ever published. I listen to the most despairing Joy Division song after this and feel I have at last found something living and warm.

I'm sorry to say I'm a fence-straddler on this one, as it seems to inspire a lot of strong opinions (positive and negative). I did see them perform live once, an experience that was somehow less inspiring than their albums -- for some reason, they thought a fancy light show was a good match to the minimal vibe of their music. Whatever.
They have some songs I like, but an album worth of Jamie's drab vocal style is usually too much for me.

I thought it couldn't get worse than this album, and then Jamie xx went solo.

Strange, this is the only album I've listened to today. Gave it a spin this morning. _________________ Doubles & Conch
