A virtual tie for my favorite Replacements record. Tim is definitely their most consistent release, and one of the best rock records of the 80s, and really just one of the best ever. Seeing them a year and a half ago was one of the more fulfilling shows I've experienced _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

What Mecca said, except the virtual tie part. I think this is without question the best in their discog. It's hard to explain how much I adore this album. Every track is absolutely essential, and "Here comes A Regular" is one of the saddest, most brilliant closing tracks ever. I always liked to think of that as a more honest Cheers theme song. It's a real tear jerker.
Also, that break after the line about "...they got no one to name us..." in "Bastards of Young" is the most spine tingling, exciting, thrilling rock and roll moment ever.
"Swingin' Party"is just dripping with emotion, perfectly written song. "Waitress in The Sky", and "Kiss Me On The Bus", and "Left of the dial", and "Little Mascara", and "Hold My Life", oh my! This album is probably my favorite straight up rock and roll album ever. And if not for Kate Bush's Hounds of Love it would be be indisputably my number 1 of the 80s. Just completely genius stuff. _________________ -Ryan

Yeah. I go back and forth between Tim and Let It Be. I think Tim is easily the more consistent of the two, but Let It Be has its own incredible magic, being their transition from being reckless garage rock drunks. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Absolutely agree Let It Be is fantastic. "Tim" was my first album I heard and owned by them and really one of the first Indie rock albums I bought when I was like 16. Its influence on me is hard to overcome when I look at their discog. _________________ -Ryan

I have this and a bunch of other Replacements on vinyl (including Let it Be), like I bought them back in the 80's. What is that worth now? _________________ Top Canadian songs, keyless entry remotes, home care, whatever...
