- Post subject: What are your favorite double-live albums?
|
This is probably a relevant topic only to vinyl lovers or 70s lovers, since there's really no such thing anymore as a double live album. But they were a big deal at one time. And there's many great ones. You really knew you made the big time when you got your own double Iive. Here's mine:
The Doors. Absolutely Live!
Janis Joplin. Joplin in Concert
David Bowie. David Live
Joe Cocker. Mad Dogs and Englishmen
Lou Reed. Take No Prisoners
Santana. Moonflower
Jimi Hendrix. Live at Woodstock
Van Morrison. Its Too Late to Stop Now
Millie Jackson. Live and Uncensored
Allman Brothers. Live at the Fillmore
Aretha Franklin. Live at the Fillmore
Tangerine Dream. Poland
Peter Frampton. Frampton Comes Alive
Paul McCartney & Wings. Wings Over America
Joni Mitchell. Miles of Aisles
Tangerine Dream. Livemiles
Genesis. Seconds Out
Melanie. At Carnegie Hall
The Orb. Live 93
Bette Midler. Live at Last
Chicago. Live at Carnegie Hall ( actually a triple)
Neil Diamond. Hot August Night
Pointer Sisters Live at the Opera House
Fleetwood Mac Live
Neil Young Live Rust
James Brown Live at the Apollo
Chic. At Budokan

I prefer the daft punk 97 live one. Anyhow, no mention of this, really? (and no, it's not a studio creation)
