An unbeatable formula on each and every track. The band just blends so well together, exploding in monstrous climaxes throughout the entire album. True raw power on display.

Rage Against The Machine is the band that struck me the most. During my childhood, I only listened to rap, but one day I discovered RATM. This band that mixed rock and rap made me discover the whole rock universe. Like many, I discovered them from the very beginning. This album is for me the very definition of a perfect album. It's genius! all titles are musical masterpieces between virtuosity, rage and power.Tom Morello is my favorite guitarist: he is really creative and virtuoso, these solo are great. RATM have succeeded in renewing rock by creating a unique and recognizable sound among a thousand. The rebel message is excellent and is very intelligent in my opinion. The tracks are all more cult one than the other (Do not despise any), this album is one of the most cult and striking in the history of music. I would not be the same if this album did not exist...

Certainly unique, the riff making isn't something trailblazing but the role it's played in influencing and inspiring is something you can't deny. You also can't deny the headbang-ery this album solicits. Wake Up is great.

Unfortunately De la Rocha's flow often limits the instrumentals ability to take flight, and a lot of the rage just starts to go in circles.

Fine but overrated hard rock pseudo punk effort. Engaging but after a while get sick of hearing the same riffs over and over again. Love where they're coming from and Killing in the...is one of the iconic indi rock songs however the poverty of ideas is evidenced with ripping off Kashmir in track 7 which isn't credited. Good but no real budiness in the top 100.
