Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 83.0/100, a mean average of 81.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

I like the band's impactful sound and versatile guitarist. However I found a lot of the album to be rather samey musically. I would have preferred more melody, hooks, and more variety in rhythm and pace. Likewise the vocals and lyrics are one note (i.e., rage). They get a bit more adventurous on "Know Your Enemy" and "Fistful of Steel", could have used more of that. But I still think it's quite a good and unique album. Funk-rap-metal. (Edited)

It's that special moment, when you hear something really NEW. And this kind of music was new, hard and rough. (Edited)

One of the rare examples of rap combined with metal, which doesn't come off as cringe for me. Energy is absolutely unparalleled and lyrics are equally furious and guitar playing is top notch with many brilliant parts. (Edited)

This record is fuelled by rage making it one of the most energetic and powerful albums of all time. The music on here is just brimming with energy and the group do a fantastic job of getting that across to you so you feel just as involved with the anger as they are. The passion and emotion on display is simply phenomenal and they completely suck you in on songs such as Killing In The Name. There is so much more to this album than this track however with songs like Know Your Enemy, Wake Up and Take The Power Back being just as rage driven and lovable. They achieve their style so well because of their outstanding guitar and drum work as they are playing with such a drive and aggression that you can relate to everything they do on their instrument. You then have the passionate vocal display which perfectly encapsulates their whole ethos as they deliver their brilliant lyrics incredibly. Overall, this is an album that will drag you into its rage fuelled atmosphere and deliver a 52 minute experience that is unforgettable. (Edited)

Great groove after great groove, but the rapping vocals are pretty corny. (Edited)

Almost instant love for this album - even though this type of metal rock was out of my comfort zone. Love the energy and delivery in eth vocals with that driving beat. Great throughout.
