So a friend of mine bought a copy of Pantera's "Cowboys from Hell" (vinyl) not so long ago and he noticed something strange. One of the sides of the second lp (double album) has a different label on it, from Pantera's other album "Vulgar Display of Power". He has showed it to me and I can't possibly imagine this was done on purpose... Is this unique or does anybody else know anything about this? Could a misprint like this possibly be worth anything? The album was only pressed 5000 times for record store day 2010 and was never originally released on vinyl when the album came out in 1990.

Any metal experts could enlighten me?

It's been reported and did not result in increased price; price for the 2010 RSD LP ranges from $12 to $30 and the higher end is made up of pricing nincompoops touting sealed records. Horrible reviews for the pressing (apparently side 3 is borderline unlistenable). And it was released on LP in 1990. All info from discogs. 5000 is also plenty; a pressing of <500 is when it starts to be seen as ~~rare~~

Thanks, I read somewhere that it wasn't printed on vinyl originally because the vinyl era was already ending and Pantera didn't want to bother bringing it out on that medium but apparently that wasn't correct, my bad!

Could you provide me a link to where it was reported? I can't seem to find anything on my own...?
