This album has had no shortage of discussion over the years. The titled theme side is rightfully one of rock's greatest musical epics. But I think it's important to point out side 2 and, in particular the outstanding deep cuts therein. Something for Nothing is the greatest of Peart's early Rand inspirations and the far more obscure Lessons is one of Rush's most dynamic cuts, including a bass line that is downright wicked, even by Geddy Lee's insanely high standards.

Agreed Fischman, side two is great. “Tears” and especially “The Twilight Zone” are my two favorites, but I love every track. I grew up on this album, so I’m sure someone just now checking it out might feel different.
And yes, the suite is something to behold.

Funny thing, when I was about 19, I got some mongo killer speakers. Massive Infinitys with 15" woofers and wicked projecting mid range and tweeters. Hooked 'em into my receiver with the 12 band equalizer booster. The first album I put on to test drive the new rig was 2112.
The walls shook, the windows vibrated, and I was in heaven. Fortunately, I lived in a rural area so I could max 'em out without disturbing anyone.
