An excellent album, especially Sherane, Sing About Me and The Art of Peer Pressure. It kind of got eclipsed by his two records that followed it, but it’s still the shit.

Great album, my personal favorite from Kendrick but I feel like the album of the day should be more obscure albums, cause who on this website doesn't already know Kendrick

Also my personal favorite. Like I've said many times, I'm starting to lose respect and enjoyment from TPAB, but gkmc holds its status as being one of the very best albums of the decade. Check out my description to it on my chart (I think it's #66). Plus SABIDoT is pure rap in terms of definition; rhythm and poetry.

The only "saviour" who's yet to die or disgrace himself. I usually fucking hate conscious rap, whatever that means, but for certain artists I'll make an exception.

I've been a Kendrick fan since my first real listen of his music, GKMC being no exception, but this is a record that legit gets better every time I choose to spin it every few months. And what a phenomenal way to lay the groundwork in terms of songwriting for To Pimp A Butterfly. The first 10 songs are classics for me.

I'm joining the thisisthebestKendrickalbum camp. I enjoy the personal themes much more than the socio-political ones. Almost every time I listen to it some other songs stand out, with Sing About Me... being the ultimate masterpiece.

I just wish the last two tracks were cut from the album, then it would be near perfect.
