One of if not my favorite band ever. There are some of their best moments on this project like the period defining Love It if We made it and one of the best album closers of all time with I Always Wanna Die Sometimes. I do think a lot of the ideas were refined on Notes but since there were quite a few steps back on that one as well their sophomore effort will always be my favorite out of what they've released so far.

fascinating! Never heard about this album until today. Knew of the 1975 slightly, but never thought this was an album nearly in our top 1000. It is so devalued and just not generally loved on RYM and shows up as 1250+ album of 2018 on that site while here its a top 1000 (almost) all time record. wild wild disparity there. Will need to check it out.

Got a bit of a boost (albeit maybe a 'controversial one') when Love It If We Made It was named P4k's song of 2018. Also landed a high score on there if I remember correctly.
I'm not super into this album as a whole, a little too scattered, but I think It's Not Living (If It's Not With You) is legit a great 80s throwback power pop track. Wish the project was a bit more honed. Think there's some great glimmers of things here.

If you thought this was scattered, (which it is, even though I am enjoying this and got to Not Living) there next album is even more scattered.

Like all albums from The 1975, it's about four tracks too long, but unlike other 1975 records, ABIiOR is genuinely great until it overstays its welcome.
