Eeeeaaaasily the best year-chart on the site. A lot of the picks I strongly disagree on, but hey those write-ups are something else; hence I used portions of them in my own Laughing
A sidenote, have you listened to the Mogwai gem yet?

Interesting list for sure. I'm a big fan of:

For The First Time by Black Country, New Road
Bright Green Field by Squid
J.T. by Steve Earle & The Dukes
L.W. by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

I haven't heard many of them. But then again, I'd have added many others in there too.

Thanks buddy. Yeah I have been seeing your intense ratings all year. You are a TOUGH grader to say the least. It breaks my heart seeing so many albums I love or like get whopping 30s and 40s and 50s from you lol. I did listen to that Mogwai. I liked it. I have fallen behind the last couple months, with a recent addition of 10 or so albums recently heard with no comments. That Mogwai LP is on my to-do list (for relisten and perhaps a comment and addition to top 200.

first off thanks for being you and the kind words. secondly, oooof... that is tough. Knowing you and your tastes better than most on the internet and doing my best... I say listen to the 2 great garagy punk albums Comfort to Me by Amyl and the Sniffers and the excellent Life Is Pain Idiot by Liquids. For metal, you should hear Famine, Putrid and Fucking Endless by Atvm and considering your love and enjoyment of that Carcass goregrind album, I think you may be in a position to be one of the few people who will love or at least like the new Last Days of Humanity album Horrific Compositions of Decompositions (this last is the one I'm most curious about your reaction. The vocals... are, well, unique.)

yep those are solid. And we do have different tastes, but that is the beauty of this site - as the statement associated with this site says, you can ask a 100 people what the best albums are and get wildly different answers. I like and love more straight forward rock and americana. Obviously. But this year has been a year of 30-something me trying to force myself out of my comfort zone. A lot of these are quite different from the classic rock and country and folk that I love, but then again, a lot are my usual favorite genres.

Wow, there’s so much effort put into it, insane chart!
As you might imagine, I don’t like many of the albums presented here, but that’s totally irrelevant, your reviews remain excellent and make me have second thoughts about records I would otherwise reject at once.
And what a shocking #1. After two or three listens I remember I didn’t think much of it, even though it should in theory be close to my taste. Glad it did the trick for someone else – and it’s not just you, I can see it has developed quite a following, that's cool.
On the other hand, I can spot a few favourites here. There are three albums I really like - Haram, As Days Get Dark, and Sometimes I Might Be Introvert - so there’s light at the end of the road. Mr. Green
At the same time, there’s at least 40 albums here I am unfamiliar with, so I’ll take a closer look at your comments and I might check out a couple of those if they appear to be anywhere close to what I usually enjoy – not very likely, but who knows.
All in all, a big thumbs up!

haha! Thanks for the words my friend! Yep we are in some areas of music (not with our mutual love of the Goat BoGoatb DyGOATlan) diametrically opposed in taste. My "reviews" and comments sometimes go on awhile and so that is the thinking when I started putting little paranthetical synopsis at the top to save some time... I try to describe what attitude/vibe and genre the album is there at the jump so you know what you're getting into if utterly unfamiliar. Hope that helps.
