at any time, the general populace of any given nation has never been eloquent.

living in the South, Naples, you should be aware of how many sentences begin or end with "I guess" or "I reckon," spoken even by members of your generation, whether you use those phrases often or not.

and the more you know, the more you realize you don't know. It's better to be transparent about your knowledge and be reminded of or taught something than to go through life not knowing.

I concede that this is not the thinking behind the "unconfident" phrases when most people use them, but these phrases also serve as a type of metaphorical way to express emotion, however poorly they convey it. Most people aren't poets, so we'd rather say "I love you, you know?" than write 20 love poems. This is the way it's always been

well up here in the North no one says i reckon ..... hahahahaha "i reckon"???? you're either a pathetic ghetto scum.... like most "blacks" or normal white person, or a smelly minority.... Since i'm so cool, i can easily be talking like a normal white person, then switch over to ghetto, then to spanish.... however this causes you to not be great at any of them and if someone starts talking hardcore ghetto, or straight from Mexico Spanish i'm immediately lost... Best talk about language ever!

In regards to bad language, work in a high school for a day and you will realise that most students talk with no conviction or confidence. This leads to laziness and limited vocabulary. Don't know what the answer is to the problem but I will try one student at a time.

I'm pretty sure that's just how everyone talks in secondary school.
