Which album cover is better?

London Calling
Clash
Released in 1979
Genre: Punk
Nominated by junodog4
Album art is photograph of Simonon smashing his Fender Precision Bass. The font and colouring pays tribute to Elvis Presely's self-titled album. The album cover for London Calling was among the ten chosen by the Royal Mail for a set of "Classic Album Cover" postage stamps issued in January 2010.

or

Does Their Own Stuff
Hot Poop
Released in 1971
Genre: Psychedelic Rock
Nominated by Iggy Opera
Album art on the front shows the band in a barn, with three of them shooting up, one passed out (or dead), and another taking a dump. On the back theyre all nude, except that the woman has a dick and the guys dont.

And yet again a mediocre album cover gets picked because it's content happens to be very popular.

No no no

The crowd was being all apathetic in that gig. They were not singing along and annoying the band because of it. In a fit of rage (and to get a reaction) Paul Simon bashed his guitar onto the stage. That way they might pay some attention. Anyway, photographer got it just at the right moment.

That is what makes an iconic album cover.

And... Not to mention how it is a send-up/homage to Elvis:

I disagree with the best music takes the cover whiners.

London Calling is a worthy candidate to win the whole thing. It's an awesome cover.

I mean, if you're referring to VU & Nico, then it's alright, but man, that London Calling cover is awesome....but wait, the other one is great too.

🤔 What to do now?

EDIT: I studied the other cover closer, and then decided that I liked London Calling better.
