So the first single from the upcoming Good Ass Job album has leaked, and frankly I'm really impressed. It's rocking this great King Crimson sample (from 21st Century Schizoid Man, for those who haven't heard it yet) It's got me really psyched for the record in September, what about you guys?

HAHA I though I would never see the day KC was sampled for a commercial hip hop song. I liked it quite a bit!

Kanye West is terrible.
His narcissism is grotesque even by mainstream hip-hop's standards. His lyrics are laughable at best and he is only famous because he grovelled at the feet of MTV and Rolling Stone and the mainstream media critics until they finally accepted his incessant, pathetic self-promotion and decided to make him a star, probably just to shut him up and make him go home. _________________ My voodoo master, my machine, baby, will not stand in line...

Why would you bump a thread from over one year ago to bring up this tired old argument.
Also, you're completely wrong because he was a rising star as a producer years before College Dropout came out. As for narcissism, what artist isn't? Look at James Brown, Prince, and Michael Jackson. Look at Eminem. Look at the 70s rock idols. Shit, if you are a recording artist and you don't show at least a bit of ego in your songs what are you doing?

Yeah, Jimmy Page is by far a more narcissistic ass than Kanye West is.
Paul McCartney too, but at least he has the most reason to be, I mean, how the hell can being in The Beatles NOT go to your head. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.

That is exactly what makes me cringe, though. Of course famous musicians, actors, athletes, etc. are going to have egos. It rarely bothers me, if ever. But Kanye is on a whole new level because his desperation for fame and public approval is so egregious and transparent. _________________ My voodoo master, my machine, baby, will not stand in line...

Why did someone bump this? *Sigh*
Kanye's song is great.
King Crimson is also great.
Kanye is a giant ass who makes great music.
End of argument
