I remember the first time I heard this album. Just beautiful. This album is a better advert for religion than any holy scripture. Everyone should own a copy.

You, Sir, are a very wise man indeed to say this - glad it's not just me who thinks this way. There's more positivity from this album than 1000 Duracell batteries lined up next to each other with the knobbly bits connected together.

Heart of the Congos is not only the finest roots reggae album ever, it's the best LP to ever come out of Jamaica. Period (as our friends over the pond would say). No Marley/Wailers album comes anywhere close to it. Even more than this - and in this writer's very humble opinion (as my overall chart bears out) - it's my personal favourite album from an artist/band based outside the British Isles and the US. Now there's a sales pitch for you...
