Jimmy Page owned this category from 1969-79. Still does. Zeppelin riffs are the best.

I read somewhere recently that awarded Debaser by Pixies for having the best Bass Riffs of all time.
It's just like four notes each repeated a few times. It works for the song, but it's hardly anything close to being the greatest of all time.

Best guitar riff, probably Day Tripper.
