It seems that every once in a while, musicians and bands that have already established themselves as great artists release one album that just seems qualitatively inconsistent with their otherwise strong body of work. Can you guys think of a few shitty albums released by great bands?
Immediately , Queen's "Hot Space" comes to mind. I love queen but I can honestly say that, with the exception of the uncompromisingly outstanding "Under Pressure", it is the only Queen album that I dislike to any great extent

Anyway, Yellow Submarine jumps to mind. It shouldn't have been released as a studio album.
I'm also not a huge fan of Metallica post-Black Album, but it really went to shit with St. Anger. Not one solo on that album.

Yes, this thread exists, probably multiple times already. Of course it's not the new users fault, but it's quite annoying to see similar threads popping up all the time. It can get annoying but honestly sometimes these threads get lost in oblivion and it would become too much of a hassle to try to fish them out. Plus I tested making this thread again to see if I got a suggestion for a previous thread and I didn't get it so there really isn't much that can be done about it. _________________

I don't know man, maybe it's because when I do listen to Stevie I tend to binge listen so by the time Hotter rolls around and I've already been through the masterpieces Innervisions, TB, and SitKoL. It might also be because I know what road he's heading towards at this point and my mind subliminally cannot appreciate it, but I really have troubles getting through it.
