Their best album is A.M.

I like this one, but not quite as good as A.M.

I've always thought Tweedy's lyrics are weaker here compared to some of their other albums as well as his work with Uncle Tupelo. Regardless, it is a very enjoyable record. Summerteeth is the best.

Amazing album, virtually flawless. Songs like I am Trying to Break Your Heart and Poor Places show the giant leap forward in innovation hey took, while songs like Jesus Etc. and Heavy Metal Drummer pay respect to their Alt-Country roots. 95/100

The most consistent of their excellent trio of albums (Being There, Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot).

Favorite moments? The end of "Radio Cure" and the slide guitar in "Pot Kettle Black".

This is one of my holy, sacred, most adored albums ever.

Can't say enough about just how adventurous and experimental it is at points and how straight forward it is in others. And it covers such a beautifully wide range of sounds and styles without seeming forced. Everything fits together so well, and that closing statement after this epic, modern life journey, of "I've Got reservations about so many things, but not about you" is just so FUCKING PERFECT AND ROMANTIC AND AMAZING! I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH!!!!!

Anyway, yeah, it's an incredible album.

Very good album. I thought it was only correct at first, but it grew on me a little to become an album I really like.

I never really understood its "experimental" description, though. I mean, it's just alt-country with funny noises here and there. That record does have personality, it has built its own style. But Television or Nirvana have too, and they're not "experimental" by any mean. So no, I don't see it at all as an experiment. Just a very particular and unique alt record. That's not bad, that's just different. But hey, it's another label problem, so it's probably not important at all.
