Very true. I only listen to one or two discs at a time and have only heard the whole thing in one sitting about five times. Here comes the sacrilege: albums are just songs and it's fine to listen to them untogether. That's a word, untogether.

But yeah, I agree. This album is amazing and the songs are really lovely. They're neither as whimsical and light as on Milk Eyed Mender or as compelling and immersive as on Ys, but kind of a subtle mix...Which sounds great and has some really sublime songs that stand out more individually...On the album they do kind of blend, which isn't really that bad, since a big seamless blob of Joanna Newsom's music isn't a bad thing.
