- Post subject: March site update

We've been busy this month making some fairly big changes to the site and we've decided to introduce an occasional BestEverAlbums.com site newsletter to keep you up-to-date with changes to the site and any other relevant news. You can sign up to the newsletter from the newsletter page. We think the newsletter will be sent every six months or so, or maybe quarterly so you won't be bombarded with spam and we won't sell or share your email address with any third parties.
Following a recent suggestion from dickman earlier in the year, we've now added the ability to export a chart as CSV. (Thanks for the great suggestion - we should have done that much earlier.) Any other suggestions can be made in the suggestions forum - we do listen!
In addition, there are now enhanced RSS feeds on the forums. You can now subscribe to individual forums (e.g. the announcement or albums forum), or particular forum topics directly from your RSS reader. These feeds are in addition to the list of new charts, member comments and individual chart feeds. There's really no excuse for not being up-to-date on the latest news from the site
The other big change to the site is that ratings are now out of 100 (hover over to increase/decrease your rating.) All existing ratings have been adjusted (multiplied by 10) to take this into account. Hopefully, this will lead to less albums with a maximum score and more realistic ratings. The top member-rated albums are listed here.
We've also made design changes to the album charts so that they include more stats and cross-links and they also look a bit smarter.
Revolver has regained top spot in the overall chart this month after a brief stint in second place to Radiohead's OK Computer. Quite a few fan-sites seem to be looking at this site, Led Zeppelin were also getting quite a few votes this month. I hope the chart doesn't become a popularity contest, we'll have to rethink the algorithm if it does.
Look out for more changes over the next few months - there's plenty more in the pipeline - and enjoy the site.
