Time to revisit both. I loved Z when it was released, but not sure it has aged well enough to defeat Good Kid, Maad City

Haven't listened to either fully, but there is something about Kendrick that makes him nearly irritating to listen to for me. I'm going with Z

I actually like My Morning Jacket (although I much prefer It Still Moves to Z), but Kendrick's album is in my Top 40 or something. It's a stunning achievement.
