Thanks for all your kind words - hope you'll find something to treasure from the above picks.

Skinny man - interestingly I had considered a sub-section about the dub version LP. You're quite right about AMBFB1983 dub, and I would add Eastman Dub (the dub counterpart to Tetrack's Let's Get Started, another Pablo-produced set) as another one worth checking. Trouble is you get into the realms of great albums (Horace Andy's In The Light and Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey) having naff dub wise LPs released in their wake. Hence why I didn't bother.

However in reflection there are two glaring omissions of my own that have just popped into my head:

Dubd'sco Vol 2 by Bunny Wailer

Check out Hypocritical Dub, a version of the Wailers' Hypocrites which also featured in a different form as The Entebbe Affair on ADAM vol.3

And this gem with perhaps my favourite dub album cover of all-time;

Ne'er a truer word spoken. Marcus Garvey in dub is a fucking atrocity.

Good work no wax j. Plenty here to check out in a genre I've always liked but not got stuck into bar comps. Mind you I've always found that garveys ghost to be decent enough but not having much to compare it to album wise. I've seen it get a right slagging in other places too.

Jah bless, squire. When I get the chance I'll add a lickle bit about dub from late 80s to present, but I reckon the above will keep you all pretty busy for now.

In the meantime, witness the fitness. Big up.

The A-side is lovely, but check the dub version (starts at 4.10). Out of this world.

Blackboard Jungle Dub by The Upsetters

I'm confused and hope someone can help. Is this album from '73 (also know as "14 dub blackboard jungle" as per the cover, containing 14 tracks) the same as a later released album called "blackboard jungle dub" (containing only 12 tracks with different names and a drawing of a lion in a jungle on the front.)?
I want to get hold of the version that's talked about, however the lion one is easy to obtain and the other not. Tried to find out elsewhere and not conclusive. I assume it's the same.

Hey mate. The album cover pictured above is the Auralux remaster from the early 00s, which ironically is the exact same track listing as the original 73 issue. The 'lion cover' version, by which I guess you mean this one...

...is an early 80s re-issue with different track titles and 2 cuts missing. Avoid it and hunt down the original/Auralux press if you can.
