One of my favorite Floyd albums. Instead of showing off with the concepts and bombast that make their next few albums so great, on this record they work more on writing great songs and just doing what they do next. This record has two of my favorite Floyd songs, the gorgeous folk rock track A Pillow of Winds, and the breathtaking epic Echoes. While this is often overlooked in favor of albums like DSOTM and WYWH, I think this should be mentioned alongside those as their best albums.

A bit inconsistent, but damn, do those highs hit hard. I work at a planetarium, and as part of our laser light shows, they'll occasionally do "One of These Days." It's really neat.

"Echoes" and "Fearless" are awesome, but the whole album is solid and a bit underrated, as people tend to talk much more about "ATM" or "DSOTM".
