I think the opening drum beat from Dreams Burn Down is engrained in my skull at this point.

Now that I think about it, this album is probably my favorite use of that stadium/arena-rock drum sound carried over from 80s hair metal into 90s alt rock. It just works so well to ground all the reverb floating around and expand the sound at the same time.

Definitely one of my all-time favorites

I have the expanded edition, which includes 7 more great tracks including "Here And Now" and "Unfamiliar". While "Vapour Trail" is the fan favourite, and for good reason, my personal favourite is "Seagull", which seems to be one of my go-to songs whenever I'm in a good mood.

Overall, Nowhere might not be as complex as Loveless or Souvlaki, but it's still one of my favourite albums, and a must-have for any fan of shoegaze.
