Indie-folk just like Neutral Milk Hotel & Modest Mouse. All highly rated bands but quite unknown to me until I started scouring best albums lists..
I also don't know (m)any people that know these bands here in Belgium. Is it an American thingy? (though it sounds like it has roots in Irish music.. ) (Is that a gurdy-hurdy I hear in 'the Bagman's Gambit' : )
A shame those folkies always like to sing in such a harsh and loud voice (also the case in European folk..)
