As of 4 hours later, it's not Laughing Those 3 are in a deadheat, which is insane considering how many points they have. Think I'd like it to go VU>Funeral>LZ, but it doesn't really matter.

Oh wow, I didn't realize how close they all were lol

That's insane how after all these charts three albums so high up can still be so close.

Personally speaking, this isn't my favorite Arcade Fire record, but I get why it is for so many people. It speaks to so much of the anxiety experienced by people growing up in an increasingly fragile looking Western world at that time. So much fear and unease is present in this album and it was packaged in such a fresh sound that it was inevitable that this album would come to be viewed the way it is. Whether you think that makes it overrated or not is up to you to decide for yourself, but no matter what, you can't deny the emotional power that this album has.

A teenage angst-ridden north-American album with a predictable indie sound and so-so tunes. In this case, really the student has not surpassed the master (The Velvet Underground & Nico)

Arcade Fire is a little bit overrated band on this site, but this album sometimes a masterpiece, if you ask me to choose one band, U2 or Arcade Fire, I prefer second (so U2 is overrated too) Applause Applause Applause
