Great debut album

The release of the single Loser was an event. The video was great too. Plus the CD single had a great track called MTV Makes Me Want To Smoke Crack. Ha ha.

However......

.....ever since then I've found Mr Beck's output hit and miss.

I liked Devil's Haircut but to this day I still don't know if I fully like the album Odelay. It has some good bits but Idk if it works as a cohesive whole.

Midnite Vultures was fun and I loved Debra. And what they did with it in the movie Baby Driver.

Morning Phase was pretty sweet and Colors was a good pop album.

But I didn't dig Sea Change or Mutations much.

And that's as far as I got with Beck.

I think he's a better singles artist rather than a great albums artist. I mean some of his albums are good or just alright.

But I think he is far too highly rated and placed on BEA.
