MARVELOUS album! A little heavy on the torch song content for my taste, but Simone sings so well, who can complain?

But the real standout is the 10+ minute closing "Sinnerman." Holy moly, how can she keep the intensity through that whole thing?! That's some serious stuff right there and one that really sets Simone apart. Astonishing.

The chops on this, man. This album is out of this world and my #1 album of 1965.
