Probably the only Muse album where I get the hype. I have a mate that absolutely loves this band, and I don't really get it - except for on this album. And I wish I did understand them, because they're great musicians - Matt Bellamy especially is a wonderful guitarist. But I just don't get it. Even this album is too long and a tad inconsistent. It's too melodramatic, overproduced and, honestly, kind of samey after a while. As a lyrics guy, I also find them sorely lacking. Plug in Baby is still a killer track though, as are a few other tracks on the record - Darkshines!
