Hello BEA! I recently heard Jazz Samba by Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd, and I absolutely loved it. Also a big fan of Getz/Gilberto. However, I am very un-listened to Boss Nova and Latin Jazz besides. Does anyone have recommendations with a similar feel?

While I'm not that verse within Latin Jazz/Bossa Nova, do give Antonio Carlos Jobim a listen. I think he will fit the bill your looking for.

Hey mate! Admittedly I'm a noob on the subject, but I recently checked out this. It contains covers of extremely famous songs done in the style of Bossa Nova. Nothing spectacular -rather predictable actually -, but a cool and accessible introduction to a new genre nonetheless.

João Gilberto made a lot of good solo bossa nova albums. The ones that immediately precede Getz / Gilberto are my two favorites currently:

O Amor, O Sorriso E A Flor by João Gilberto

João Gilberto by João Gilberto
