As a teen this album soldified my interest for the band.
First the courage to go into a less radio friendly direction after a highly successful debut album.
Second the singles out of it were at the time weird and impactful.
Thirdly, It made me interested to listen to Brian Eno, don't regret it.
A criminally underrated album by a somewhat underrated band. It is still my 3rd favorite out of their 4 main albums, however the truth is they never released a bad album.

I agree about this being the third best, their debut doesn't seem like it can be beat, and Little Dark Age was a great comeback.
I saw MGMT live during their tour for this album, and they were great. They didn't play "Kids" though and the crowd was PISSED lol _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

This is either their best or second best album (tied with Little Dark Age), clearly better than the debut. One of my favourite modern psychedelic albums, everything sounds so colourful and magical. _________________ All time

For some reason I never listened to this when it came out or even when I first (sort of) got into MGMT (either their debut or later for Little Dark Age). But anyway I did listen to this as part of me revisiting 2010s not too long ago (chart is coming real soon guys), and it's been on my current playlist since. I've accepted that this late 2000s cutesy indie neo-psych is right up my alley. Flash Delirium and Siberian Breaks are some of their best songs, though my favourite has to be Song for Dan Treacy, love how it's both in his and MGMT's style at once.
