Took some time to warm up to, but once it clicked, I never looked back. This thing rules. I might prefer Speaking in Tongues, but this is a game changer and is so much fun.

I know I've posted this at various times before, but if you've never watched this live concert of the Talking Heads from slightly after this album's release, then you've been missing out.

This pretty much sums it up. Also the first songs aka side A is probably the greatest opening stretch of songs ever. I like how the first three songs are getting progressively faster and crazier, only to score a fantastic climax with Once In A Lifetime. _________________ All time

Thanks for sharing this, Talking Heads (and Byrne solo) truly have some of the best live content of any bands out there.
I think the first time I listened to Remain in Light, I only like "Once in a Lifetime". Watching and listening to Talking Heads live (starting with Stop Making Sense of course) totally changed my perception of the band from "novelty experimenters" to "holy shit these folks are geniuses". Now this is one of my favorite albums and Talking Heads are one of my favorite bands. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
It took a fair while for me to get into this album, but just as I was about to give up on it, it clicked for me somehow. It's the only Talking Heads album I've checked out so far, but I've got a few more on my list to check out!
This album has one of the coolest gimmicks (the main backing tracks for all 8 songs are vamps) that I don't think has been repeated by any other album. Tons of individual songs do that, but I've yet to hear another entire album made up of such songs.
