I’d argue that Abandoned Luncheonette actually predates what we think of as “yacht rock”, in terms of both chronology and sound - to me, that record is actually a much earthier synthesis of earnest Philly soul and humble, Laurel Canyon-inspired folk rock. _________________ 2021 in full effect.
