No matter how many albums Eminem tries to dilute his legacy with, The Marshall Mathers LP remains a canonical, if somewhat aged work of genius.

I think this is his best work. It’s more dynamic than the Slim Shady LP and he hadn’t entered his Yelling era like on The Eminem Show. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

So Business, Square Dance, Say Goodbye Hollywood, Sing For The Moment, Superman, Hailie's Song and My Dad's Gone Crazy is in his "yelling era"? I would more say that era is Recovery or Revival/Kamikaze. _________________ My Top 100 :

I certainly didn’t say every track featured his yelling voice, but it’s the first album where that voice becomes more prominent. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Tolerable (and occasionally enjoyable) in super small doses. Taken as a whole, it grates. I loved Eminem as a ten-year-old, which probably says everything. I also loved The Baha Men, Shaggy, and Linkin Park. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
