I think I can safely say that satie and Norman's respective dislike of/disinterest in Black Messiah has absolutely zero to do with their political or social inclinations.

Come on, guys, there's a reason I wanted these sent by private message. Let's keep the results a surprise, if we can.

It's alright, I've received many more votes than were posted here, let's just keep the discussion in the abstract from here on out.

Anyway, concerning the negative points:

- The main reason I allowed for down-voting was because I feel that dislikes are just as important for representing a community's tastes as likes.
- Yes, many popular records will be downvoted into oblivion, so don't be surprised if albums like Lost in the Dream, Benji or Black Messiah miss the list entirely. This is kind of the point. Besides, it's not like they need additional promotion.
- I realize that losing these records may break some hearts, but if it's any consolation, I'll do an alternate tally of the votes without accounting for the negatives. If you like a popular record, don't be shy about including it on your list.

Oh, one more thing about the voting. Please, if you can, keep to the format I specified in my original post. The reason the format is important is that I'm planning to automate the vote counting using a script and the fewer ballots I have to convert manually, the more time I'm saved.

Thanks!
