Man there was a time I listened to this everyday; Those times has long passed but I still enjoy it and more than that perhaps respect it for its influence.

I'm happy with them in short bursts, but I usually get bored with listening to the full album at once.

I don't really understand this comment. The record, itself, is a short burst. That's what's appealing about it. It's also likely the reason that subsequent Strokes efforts haven't come close to this. Too difficult to replicate that explosion on tape.

The more i'm listening to other albums the more i'm impressed by the perfection of this one. still my favorite of all time even if The Seer came seriously close this year.

perfect songs: The Modern Age, Soma, Barely Legal, Someday, Last Night, Trying Your Luck, Take It Or Leave It.

Yes it's super short, but I still find myself drifting from paying attention at about the half way point. I like listening to the songs individually rather than all at once.

Oh and I do in fact think Room on Fire is better. So that's a thing

I really want to like this, but the singer just sounds like a total douchebag.

Naw he's just perpetually hing over. My cousin saw them live and he said he just stop there with sunglasses on and leaned against the mic the whole time.

Julian Casablancas has an amazing voice, sounds like Jim Morrison. And he'd have to be in the top ten of coolest dudes on the planet if the list is ever compiled.
