My first choice would have been 70-71, but that's not an option. Thanks for leaving out 74, as it was the weakest year in the strongest period of popular music. Unfortunately that move brings me to a tie between:

69-70 and 73+75.

Since you're holding a gun to my head I'll go ahead and pick the former of those two as it has so many very good albums, even though the best from those two years is no higher than #18 on my chart. 71-72 is third.
