If there is one problem I have with the way this site is run it is that it is way too fucking lenient about this kind of garbage.

As far as I can tell there's not a single Rap or Hip Hop album in the top 100. What's up with that does noone here like the genre?

Why not?

This interesting question has been raised many times over the years at BEA, and I think the answers you get here are pretty accurate (except for Barajas of course). It's all a question of audience of the site, people here are more into indie rock stuff than anything else (and that's counting myself, to be frank). Personally I like rap very much, but discovered it way after every other genre that might have mattered for me ; hence the relatively small proportion of rap in my charts - it simply wasn't the culture I was raised in, even though I was born in the 70s. I'm still catching up Smile and hope I'll be for quite some time too! So much great music to be listened to in rap.

Absolutely. My favorite French rap albums are Ombre Est Lumière by IAM; Paris Sous les Bombes by NTM; L'Ombre sur la Mesure by La Rumeur; Identité En Crescendo by Rocé; Road Movie En Béquilles by Nonstop (on the experimental side of rap). I have other advice for French rap but if you check these first you'll know if you want to listen to more French rap, I think these are the best. You could expand to other albums by the same artists if you like these (De La Planète Mars [edit: and L'Ecole du Micro d'Argent, with featurings by Wu-Tang Clan] by IAM, "Mars" meaning Marseilles; Suprême NTM or Authentik by NTM (probably the best French rap band ever); L'Être Humain et le Réverbère by Rocé,...), or if you want a broader view of French rap I can always give you further advice.

That is quite true, I used 2 live there, jbarajas speaks the truth.

And in the Milwaukee area (Where I think he lives) people say exactly what is on their mind without filters. They are not politically correct.

Also, Milwaukee is one of the most segregated cities in the world.

Personally, I have no problem with how he words things.

And after all, if it's O.K. for blacks 2 use a word, then guess what, it's O.K. for a white, yellow, green, or red person 2 use it also.

Don't know about red people, but sure do know about a green one. Very Happy

I doubt he's ever used that word, though.
