Speaking as a fan of both bands, there's no more lazy Jim Morrison than Jim Morrison.
Casablancas is even lazier. Like MrFrogger said, all he does is lean against the mic during. Morrison gave shows all his energy. Nothing lazy about that. _________________

Sometimes Julian has done stuff like that, but to be fair sometimes there were shows where Morrison would do something akin to that. And there are plenty of shows where Julian has given high energy performances, it just depends which one you're watching. Plus he's great at interacting with the crowd. There's a great clip of them playing Take It Or Leave It on Letterman which is absolutely stellar, check that out and tell me Julian doesn't have energy at least sometimes.

I'll admit that was a pretty good performance. That moment when he slaps the mic is gold.
I'm glad you liked that, it's one of my favorite T.V. performances of all time. But yeah, I can see where the kind of too cool vibe can make The Strokes a bit off putting, but they've actually got some pretty great live performances. And if it helps, every interview I've seen of Julian paints him to be a pretty good guy as well. Hopefully they'll grow on you overtime because a big reason of why I took up guitar again and started being a full time singer in a band is The Strokes.

Hey, at the very least I can respect them, and anyone who makes someone pick up a guitar and start singing. _________________
The more i'm listening to other albums the more i'm impressed by the perfection of this one. still my favorite of all time even if The Seer came seriously close this year.
perfect songs: The Modern Age, Soma, Barely Legal, Someday, Last Night, Trying Your Luck, Take It Or Leave It.
I also think it's the point that he sounds lazy. But when it comes to sounding lazy/drunk, Jim Morrison is better. The Strokes are still a good band and this album has never wasted my time, when I think about it. I agree with Eggman, the title track is one of the best songs here. _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal
