I'm still voting for Yes. I kinda wanted to choose Radiohead, but it wouldn't be honest.

Good call although I don't think that they are a consistently excellent as Porcupine Tree or Radiohead. Of the "old" bands, obviously Pink Floyd but I'd also like to put forward Can. Fabulous band.

Neither do I, but they're first four albums are great, and they can sure put on an incredible live performance.

So pleased & pleasantly surprised that Can are in joint 2nd place with Radiohead. I can sleep soundly tonight.

There's a lot I need to get into, and prog rock is one of my best genres.
1. Kansas: It was only recently that I made the connection these guys were prog.
2. Pink Floyd. Although I've only heard 3 albums, there are so many Pink Floyd songs I like.
3. Dream Theater: Although repetitive after a while, I really dig their estranged and highly infuenced take on prog.
4. Rush: I can safely say that the early stuff is not my cup of tea and that the 80's to 90's is where prog's at. Geddy Lee's voice was great back then, but have you heard him live? if shit had a voice...
5. Genesis: I'm starting to like the Peter Gabriel now due to my second listen to SEBTP, but I personally love the Phil Collins era more.
6. Queensryche: I told you. 80's.
7. Queen: They've only done a couple of progressive albums, though.
8.Neal Morse: It's not so much his Christianity to me as it is his prog style that combines Dream Theater and Kansas, one time literally with two guest stars.
9. Yes
10. King Crimson.
These are the only prog bands I've heard. And I think I'm on a prog buzz. Definitely gonna try Invisible Touch again later today, and then another Genesis album. And then I'll retry In the Court of the Crimson King.
