I would like to apologize about my behavior. It had nothing to do with the genres. It was just built up aggression from other issues and I took it out on you guys. I'm willing to explore all of those genres, just felt left out. It's my own fault though. _________________

you can join me in doing drum n' bass if you want, or choose another genre as I don't mind contributing to two threads.
or of course you can do your own, plenty open

I provided a list of things I'd be interested in tackling. We'll see what happens. _________________

Even though I had absolutely nothing to do with the previous posts you're referring to ( and I hope you don't think I'm intruding or butting in by saying this but what the hey, it's a forum so I'mma jump innit ) but I want to say "Go you!" for being able to apologise.
I find it takes a certain maturity and self-awareness to be able to admit when you feel like you're in the wrong. It's a trait I admire and value in people.
Also I've read some of the posts about the stuff going on in your personal life and I want to also say that I hope things become easier and that life improves for you in the future. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums

Due to the slowdown of activity, I think it's fair that I close this baby up. (I'm taking over Repoman's duties, as he has agreed to let me.)
The winners of this poll areeeeeeeee...
1. Black Metal (Necharsian) - Size is fine.
2. Indie Pop (Precedent/Suede Swede) - Will poll later to break this up into a sub-genre possibly, Indie Pop is too massive
3. House/Techno (sadiemaniac) - Decide on House or Techno IMO.
4. Reggae/Dub - Decide on Reggae or Dub IMO.
5. Drum n' Bass - Size is fine.
There were some ties, so we went from the top. They'll all be covered eventually, so not to worry!
On the other poll it seems that more than double want genres to be more narrow, so that seems like the best route to take.
Don't discount the four that didn't make it as they can return later on, possibly as even sub-genres, so be creative there! (Country and Punk could have sub-genres selected, Post-Punk and Electric Blues seem fine.)
As far as I know, that means Necharsian is free to start on Black Metal now. I'll get in contact with both Happymeal and Repoman to confirm the proper way of handling the scheduling.
But congrats! _________________

Why on earth would you do that?

Misunderstood, you are right. Gangster rap is next. I didn't realize there was a prior queue already.
Regarding Reggae/Dub, was taking queues from Repoman. I don't actually know the correct move there. Do you think it's not too massive in size? _________________

That's cool, no worries. Just wondered as I've already got quite a bit of it sorted.

Not really. I mean reggae as a whole is a massive music to tackle anyway, especially if you're going back to ska and rocksteady (though I don't know Jim's plans in this regard). But dub in and of itself is a relatively small part of reggae, albeit a hugely significant one (its influence is huge, on post-punk, acid house, dub techno and dubstep and various forms of ambient tech, and even on certain types of hip-hop such as DJ Paul's claustrophobic brand of Memphis rap, though a thread dedicated to music that could be described in some way as "dubby" would be unwieldy and unfocused, and would create more questions than it could possibly solve), and to have a thread solely dedicated to dub reggae would be a little pointless given the total narrowness of scope. It forms a very small part of a larger whole. Personally I would stick to having them both together, and I can't speak for Jim but I assumed that was his intention anyway. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs.
