Pretty damn great, I haven't gotten into The Stooges for the most part, but I love this, so much so that it's on my overall chart, I really don't no why I like this so much if I honest, maybe it's cause I love air-guitaring around the place to this at 2AM. Cool

But this is a seriously great album!

I prefer Funhouse, but this one is still a blast. Can definitely hear Cale in the production.

Yeah, most definitely on "I Wanna Be Your Dog", that piano key repeated over and over is haunting.

Anyway, anthemic proto-punk at its best - even if Funhouse is better, I agree - but then it's something else altogether.

First three Stooges albums are untouchable. This is the tamest of the three, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. An album that definitely shaped my music listening when I plucked it out of my dad's collection as a nipper; definitely need to return to it more often (only really put Raw Power on these days). If There's A Riot Goin' On brought the curtain down on the '60s for good, this was the final note of the encore.

Essential listening, this and the next two. It draws from the past but hints to what is to come...

Excellent debut. I prefer Fun House, but I like this better than Raw Power.

I think it's alright, but I've never liked it much more than that Sad I really should, but it leaves me cold. I adore their next two albums, though.

Excellent album, I agree with Norman about the piano in "I Wanna Be Your Dog". And the start with that drum in "1969 ", wow.
"We Will Fall" is a bit too long, though.

Ill fuck with anything done by the stooges, though this felt like their most awkward album: trying to toe the line between more indulgent jams and straight-for-the-kill rock, and didn't quite feel as powerful as their later records. Best for the songs mainly, never will get tired of "I wanna be your dog"
