I tell you what, you'd have to go a heck of a long way to top a Dan Deacon show...
True, his studio LPs might be a bit patchy, but for a live experience with full-on audience participation you won't top it. The fact that (at most of his gigs) he sets up his kit right in the midst of the crowd just adds to the whole thing - it's more a party than a performance, with dance contests and everything.
They are truly one of the greatest live bands ever. Love when they incorporate mashups of their own work or others. They're not my favorite band, but I can appreciate their talent live.
Oh, and btw, Bono does a better job covering JD than most as well, which I have to give massive credit for as I'm very picky about who touches Curtis's work.
EDIT: Agh that's not the one where he does it for a while and then goes back, can't find the old footage I was thinking of :/ Sorry. He does it a lot I guess.
PS Arcade Fire and U2's only similarity seems to be that they happened to share a stage once. I guess they both have guitars too. _________________
no, after the joshua tree came out, all kinds of dumbasses thought that u2 was the best band in the world when they were anywhere from 200th to 400th
recently all kinds of those dumbasses kids and other dumbasses think that arcade fire is the best band in the world
Wait so any band who anyone thinks or has ever thought is the best band in the universe is terrible? Sorry to Joy Division, The Cure, and The Beatles for just having been lumped with The Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, and Gaga. Additionally almost any band I can think of existing, including Charlie Nobles and Photographers and other tiny little artists ...
Seriously that's a confusing statement. _________________
