So it's been a hectic day, but I've now got the time to gather my thoughts and relax with an album that makes me just collapse into a bubble of joy everytime I hear it.

If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle & Sebastian
This album is just magical, pure bliss. I had a weird beginning with it, it just didn't click. I wrote it off, put it back on the shelf and gathered dust there for the better part of year. I have no idea what was wrong with me at the time and I don't think I want to know, I was clearly crazy. About a year or so later I was coming from a festival, got a bus home on the Sunday night and was mildly drunk, that hazy phase between near soberness and pure off your head. As I wandered home I got this craving for tea, no idea why, but I just had to have some. So anyway, I made it home in the early hours of the morning, finally time for tea much ti my delight. I put the kettle on and searched for something to listen, it was then that Belle & Seb popped back in my mind. What's the harm in giving this another shot I figured. There and then things finally fell into place. I fell in love with the music of Belle and Sebastian and never looked back since. _________________
Sorry about my lack of posting guys, it's been one long day, I've been going since 6AM and still have another few hours left, sighs, hopefully I can through together something cohesive later, but for I'm chilling to this while I can.
Quality log, great readin' - "Around The World" charts sound v. interesting... should throw up some good recs for folks!
I think you've said that punk would be your fave genre but what would you have up there next to it? 'Singer-songwriter', maybe?
Thanks man!
Those charts are going to take a good while to get through, once I get a bit more free time hopefully I can speed it up a bit, I'm happy enough with the current way I'm working it though, I've got bits and pieces of charts done here and there, there's 14 in total, but the only I have up at moment is western Europe.
Yeah, I tend to lean towards punk-ish sounding stuff a lot of the time, though I find it hard to pick a favourite genre, folk is probably high up on the list also, though I pretty much find stuff I enjoy from tons of different genres, it's so difficult to pick actually... _________________
