Shout - Tears for Fears. Past the 5 star point, IMO.
A new favorite band of mine would be Disco Digitale.

I've been obsessing over the recent releases from Gajek (kind of classicalrepetitive minimalism but with contemporary electronic production/emphasis on percussion), and Black To Comm (ambient not ambient). And the thread on here about 2014 lists had me look into their review of Jar Moff - Financial Glam and it referenced this album

L'ivresse De La Vitesse by Paul Dolden

AND ITS INCREDIBLE YOU GUYS. Like modern classical but just crazy dense and busy and electroacoustic and I'm already falling in love.

First of all, this album is a bitch to find. Yet, it's unquestionably one of the most amazing albums I've ever heard. Amazing from beginning to end, and so beautiful.

Recently "rediscovered" a band called All About Eve (kinda folk-rock / gothic rock) - knew them when I was younger but wasn't a fan. Have been listening to their debut album a lot over last few weeks, though...

Treefight For Sunlight - indie pop / sunshine pop...

This one has also recently become a fave for me (have had it for a while but used to only like one or two songs).

Matanza. They're a Johnny Cash influenced punk/metal group I discovered a few months ago. I saw them live in October and I'm going to see them again in a couple weeks. Quite unlike anything I've heard before and they have very quickly become one of my favourite active artists on the planet.
