Vinyl? I'd rather listen to a heavily compressed mp3, thanks.

Well done mate but I’m sure it won’t be long until you put some impossibly hard to find record back in your top 100!!!

Strangely enough it was Loveless that was proving the trickiest to find, but that’s now been usurped by another album that’s new to the chart which I never thought I’d have a snowball’s chance in hell of tracking down. I don’t want to count my chickens just yet though as this album is now all but mine barring 2 postage mishaps and a very long journey on a plane. More when I get it.

Of course I’m never going to truly complete the 100 as long as Intro Bonito remains a part of it, although KKB has just pressed up their next LP (Bonito Generation) so that’lL be an effective placeholder for the time being.

And yes - there’s always a possibility I pluck some impossible to find nugget out the ether and stick it on my overall 100 - but hey, as you should know, that’s half the fun of this (rather expensive) pursuit...

My top 100 chart and my decade charts are horribly in need of updating. I think I'd find a fair portion of my top 100 never came out on vinyl, or if they did, are rare and horribly expensive.

I've got a lot of 70's and 80's vinyl that I've picked up cheaply, but from '90 onwards not so much. For '90 onward I've got around 30 albums per year on CD, and I'm seeking out maybe my favourite 3-5 for each year on vinyl. Even then, I'm conflicted, because the recordings were most likely never analog to begin with, and might even just be a transfer taken from the CD master. Hard to know? Still, it's nice to have large placeholders of the music you love.
