Below the Heavens. Maybe I just need to listen to it again, but based on one listen I don't really see why Follow the Leader is semi-finals material.

I really dig Follow The Leader, it's very dated, but in a really appealing way. Shame, since Below The Heavens is Below The Heavens and all..

I voted for Follow the Leader in order to stop this being a complete battering. Rakim is the father. That said, Below the Heavens had a profound impact on me growing up, and I'm very happy it'll be in the final of this tournament. It's one of the albums I've promoted heavily ever since I arrived on the site (I may even have been responsible for it being added to the database), so its near-universal popularity here feels like a small personal victory.

One of these is an album I wrote about in my essay on hip-hop, the other is something I'll listen to for fun. I think Follow The Leader is the more important album, certainly, but I think I just like Follow The Leader Below The Heavens (I'm good at things) more. I need to re listen to both one more time, I think, but I'm leaning towards Below The Heavens.
