Yeah psyched for Dam-Funk. Also, the M.E.S.H debut album should be great although that comes out this Friday so I guess it's only upcoming for a little while longer now (edit: actually holy crap it's available at the pan records webstore now, looks like I'm staying up late tonight). And there's this dude who goes by the name Heorge Garrison and if you like fast paced idm type stuff he is definitely someone you should forgive for the stupid name, he's got an album getting mastered now so it should be out this year, I feel like that's gonna be a fun one. Oh and also new Battles album, I bought tickets to see them today and it was like "hey do you want to pre-order the new album while you're at it" and I was like "sure why not" because they're really great, I figure it'll be worth it. And the new Micachu and the Shapes album, that announcement was a total surprise for me cause an interview in Wire magazine seemed to suggest itd be a long time before that happened again.

Well first and foremost for me is Brand New. EP or full length, it should be great.

The new MS MR album is due in a few days. New Finger Eleven could be interesting. Atlas Genius should have a good single or two of the nrw album. Foals should be good. New Ben Folds and new Low are always good. Mercury Rev and Beruit will be popular here but I'm not excited. New Editors is super exciting. Simple Plan is a guilty pleasure. Madlib has a new record coming up so thatll be great, same with any other Ghostface or DOOM i hope may happrn ... Silversun Pickups and Yo La Tango could be great or horrible. LVL UP, The Thyme Machine, Chase Huglin, and maybe (in the works or rumored or etc) The Charlie Nobles, Panic is Perfect, and Finish Ticket are my small bands to watch with albums yet to come

We came as Romans, Atreyu, blessthefall, BMTH, PTV, Thrice, A Lot Like Birds, and letlive. will make me hope Touche Amore actually puts something out this year so the scene is focused on a good release instead ... cuz Touche Amore would be great and one of those others might just put out something listenable ...

I'm personally really looking forward to the new Vanessa Carlton, even though I worry that with her past few singles she's reached the point of no return with this Mumford & Strauss sound.

Other than that and the new Iron Maiden, though, I can't think of much else I'm really anticipating. [/i]

I'm excited for: The White Buffalo and Langhorne Slim. I'm anticipating but skeptical about new music from Frank Turner and Lucero

In what universe? YLT has been one of the most consistently good bands alive for the past couple decades.

Rice Cultivation Society just wrapped up their follow up to Sky Burial. It's pretty great. Looking forward to that.

After discovering Toeachizown recently, I can safely say this is my most anticipated as well.

There's lots of stuff mentioned here I plan to at least take a look at, though. Mercury Rev's next is said to be in the vein of Deserter's Songs, so I'm eager to hear that. Young Thug, Lana, Beirut, PJ, Frank Ocean, and Radiohead wouldn't surprise if they made my chart as well.
