Also looking for some recs of 'classic hip hop' or that sort of stuff, you know something like Eric B. & Rakim/Public Enemy/EPMD, etc., been jamming on that lately while ArcGIS drains all my energy.
Top class recs as always, been listening through them all, particularly digging the Organized Konfusion one.
Also been blasting through a few other things, a lot of which aren't on the site (will make my 2015 chart when I'm not bogged down with work), but here's a few things I've been digging:
Giving up on work for the night, been a long day and more to come tomorrow. I have got some of my favourite 'music scenes' in films stuck in my head before I go though (presumably related to me losing my mind).
Scenes like this in films always just stick in my mind a bit better, there's just something about the use of music in scenarios like this that, for me, just work on so many levels. Is there room for a discussion on this? Maybe. Am I very sleep deprived right now? Most definitely. Is anyone even following my ramblings? Probably not.
Feel free to share some of your favourite scenes/call out my taste/throw me some sleeping pills or whatever. _________________
I think stedicam shots in particular are especially good for this because they tend to be a little bit choreographed to the song, especially like in this one from kill bill
Perfect example, excellent call, stedicam shots do have a tendency to work quite well in this scenario, and speaking of Tarantino, here's another example of where music works so well with film.
Also picked up a DVD copy of this recently, couldn't resist as it was only 75 cent, collectors edition of some sort aswell apparently, but yeah, it's great. _________________

Oh you all know it, one of the best things by anyone ever. _________________
My music listening has gone completely off the rails over Christmas as I've been catching up on sleep/films and playing copious amounts of darts and Gears Of War. Gonna start stealing recs off all the charts from tomorrow again though so who knows what I'll find!
