R Plus Seven by Oneohtrix Point Never

i mean yeah it's entertaining. i like hearing something part vaporwave, part ambient, all with that kind of warp records sound.

i absolutely fell in love with the first track, and "he she" is pretty good too, but i didn't really "LOVE" any other songs on the album. i can absolutely see myself returning to this in the future.

New Bermuda by Deafheaven

i'm playing catchup on this one. originally i had tried to score a leak from /mu/ but noticed a lot of people talking about an "elaborate fake" either there or somewhere else, i don't remember. so i held out until i just kind of forgot about it. now i'm trying to play catch up with my 2015 releases so this was top priority.

i liked it. i can see p4k giving this a nine and i'm content with that score. luna is the obvious stand out track and i think my least favorite part was probably some of the guitar work on the early stage of baby blue. other than that really, really strong album.

i never liked lauren's voice. the only songs i really liked were the first track and that one track she didn't sing on.

still a solid album

Garden Of Delete by Oneohtrix Point Never

this hasn't released yet, but it has leaked. i am proud to report, however that i did NOT download the leak illegally, and i did NOT listen to it while washing my clothes, and i did NOT enjoy the album quite a bit. i was NOT impressed by the cohesiveness and danceability of his new record, and i was not entertained by the little eccojams skit at the beginning. i did not find this to be one of my favorite electronic releases from the year.

really moving stuff. basic instrumentation actually accentuates her delightfully broken voice.
